Eye of Mumbouli (First four pages)
PAGE ONE: (FOUR PANELS)
PANEL ONE: A wide but short panel centered on the page. A wall of thick trees faces us, a thick canopy of exotic Mexican jungle. It’s riddled with vines and choked with thick undergrowth. A slew of various, bright colored birds (Yucatan parrots, keel-billed Toucans, painted buntings, etc.) fly out from the trees. They’re squawking and clearly upset as if something were chasing them. From the underbrush we also see some mammals running for their lives. There’s a northern tamandua, some Kinkajou, maybe even a jaguar. They’re all panicked and are indigenous to Mexico.
